Amalfi:

Amalfi was once a seafaring Republic, rivalling Genoa, Venice and Pisa, from the ninth to the eleventh centuries. Today that competitiveness is exemplified by their participation in the Trophy of the Four Ancient Maritime Republics; a Regatta held each May in Venice.

Near the waterfront is the piazza del Duomo and the ninth century Cathedral of Saint Andreas (St. Andrew), whose remains are said to be buried in the crypt.

Extensively rebuilt last century and superbly maintained, this fine Cathedral reflects Amalfi's original importance.
Starting at the Piazza del Duomo there is a pleasant scenic walk to the Molini Valley (Valley of the Mills) where paper mills were established in early times, introducing paper to Italy.

From the Piazza, alleys lead under white arches where curious little shops display ceramics ranging from huge jars to small jugs, all glowing with the appealing colours and designs of the region.

Positano represents the Mediterranean at her most magnificent, enticingly dressed in her finest with lush deep green vegetation, calm, clear blue seas and a temperate climate. Every traveller to the steep village of Positano will be seduced by the glorious picture of houses, towers, churches, branch-shaded streets, winding stairways, picturesque corners, orange groves - the ultimate romantic destination.
Ravello, a rural village unspoilt by tourism, perched on top of the mountain cliff situated above Amalfi and Minori. Ravello, being famous for its breath-taking views, natural beauty and ancient monuments are presented at their best in the gardens of Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo.

Naples:

Naples was founded in 600 BC by the Greeks and then the Romans tookover in 320 BC. On our tour we will visit the famous Archeological Museum, where most of the treasures from Pompei and Ercolano have been transferred. (Palazzo Reale ,Castel Nuovo, Piazza Plebiscito, museo archeologico e museo di Capo Di Monte).

Pompei and Vesuvio:

Pompeii, with its unbelievable artistic and cultural heritage, is the ideal destination for those who want to rediscover and admire the splendour of Roman times. To understand better the cause of the destruction our visit continues to the imponent volcano Vesuvius, still active but innocuous (as the scholars maintain), which dominates the beautiful Bay of Naples.

Countryside:
Visit of the Sorrento area by car (or minibus) among orange and lemon-trees. Many stops for photos on the way (terraces of Massalubrense, S.M.Annunziata, Termini, Picco S.Angelo), gorgeous sea views.
(terrazze di Massalubrense, S.M.Annunziata, Termini, Picco S.Angelo). Splendide viste-mare. In the area of Cassino e Nettuno you can visit the American cimetry.
Pestum Is the old Poseidonia founded from the Achei and afterwards occupied by the Lucans and by Romans. Its temples are the basic of modern architecture and are the true icon of the culture of the Magna Grecia.
